Economic Summit & Business Survey

Northwest Connecticut’s Chamber of Commerce will welcome economists Peter Gioia and Donald KlepperSmith as the keynote speakers at our annual Economic Summit on Thursday, Nov. 15 at Torrington Country Club.

Over the last several weeks, CBIA and the Chamber have been conducting the 2018 survey of businesses. The leaders of Northwest Connecticut’s business community were surveyed about their company’s outlook, as well as finding and retaining the next generation of employees and making Connecticut economically competitive. The survey results will be reviewed and discussed at the summit.

The survey sponsors include: Torrington Savings Bank, Pequot Health Care, Chamber Insurance Trust, BantamWesson, Conquest, Dymax, HealthQuest, Litchfield Bancorp, Northwest Community Bank and O&G Industries. Mr. Klepper-Smith’s participation in the summit is made possible through a grant from the Northwest Regional Workforce Investment Board.

Chamber members and guests are welcome to attend the summit, which begins at 7:30 a.m. The cost is $30 per person for Northwest Connecticut Chamber members, $40 per person for affiliate Chamber members and $50 per person for non-members. Learn at Lunch: A New Era of Digital Marketing: On-Line Visibility

Lance Leifert, CEO of Conquest will present the next workshop in his series on the New Era of Digital Marketing on Oct. 25, from 12-1:30 p.m. at the Chamber. This session, “On-Line Visibility” will provide attendees with an overview of understanding and optimizing their businesses’ on-line presence. Lunch will be provided.

Reservations are required. The fee is $10 per person for NW CT Chamber members, $20 per person for affiliate Chamber members and $50 for nonmembers of the NW CT Chamber.
