Make a lighted snowman at crochet class

- BY GINGER BALCH

In Sheep’s Clothing is offering a free crochet craft class this Sunday, Oct. 28, to make a lighted snowman.

These little snowmen can be used as decorations, and would be very cute hanging on a tree, wreath or practically anything. The light that is tucked inside can easily be accessed to be turned on and off.

Crocheters need not be experts, but they must have basic, chaining and single crochet skills.

Students will be guided in crocheting the snowman’s face and head which is worked in the round. Students have the option of learning to make French knots for the face, or supplying their own black beads to be sewn on. Mini pom poms are made on table forks and sewn into place.

All students will need to purchase a snowman kit which is available in the shop. Kits contain enough materials, including lights, to make six snowmen.

There will also be a discussion and demonstration on how to make variations to lighted pumpkins, Santas and more. Pumpkin kits will also be available.

Call the shop at 860482-3979, or 860-6050405 to register.
