Jingle Bell Run registration open
LITCHFIELD — The 36th running of the Jingle Bell Run 5K will beheld Saturday, Dec. 1. Runners, walkers and anyone else who wants to celebrate the season is invited to the Jingle Bell Run sponsored by Litchfield Parks and Recreation Department.
The relatively new, flat out and back course will be run for the 5th time in the race’s history with the start time of the race at 11 a.m. Registration will be at the Litchfield Intermediate School at 9:30 a.m. on race day.
The course is flat and fast, beginning and ending near the corner of Plumb Hill Road and Constitution Way. The course will run out Constitution to White's Woods Road where it will go to the right, proceed to Bissell Road and take another right and will turn around about a half mile down the road and return the same course.
Entry forms can be found on the Registration Forms link on our website at www.townoflitchfield.org. Then go to “Departments” and click on Recreation, then go to Registration Forms and click on Jingle Bell Run Registration. Print it out, then fill it out and send in to us at Litchfield Parks and Recreation. Or you can go pick up a registration form at Murphy’s Pharmacy, Litchfield Hills Nursery, Sportsmen’s of Litchfield, the Litchfield Community Center, The Village Restaurant and Litchfield Park and Recreation’s office in Bantam.
The cost of the event is$20 preregistered by Nov. 26th, $25 on Race Day. Prizes are awarded for costumes and times. First 200 recieve Santa Hats. The fastest male and female runners from Litchfield will win a gift certificate for a Christmas tree from Litchfield Hills Nursery.
