Best wishes from the chamber

- JOANN RYAN

Happy Thanksgiving from Your Premier Business Resource- Northwest Connecticut’s Chamber of Commerce.

Thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays of the year not only because of the wonderful traditions but also because of its special meaning. In the book Attitudes of Gratitude by M.J. Ryan, the focus on appreciation is poignant.

“Gratitude unlocks the fullness of life. It turns what we have into enough, and more. It turns denial into acceptance, chaos into order, confusion to clarity… gratitude makes sense of our past, brings peace for today, and creates a vision for tomorrow.”

Despite the challenges we face in our professional and personal lives, we have much to be grateful for as we reflect on our accomplishments.

Look around…we live in the beautiful Litchfield hills of Connecticut; our cities, towns and villages are focused on revitalization and historic preservation; the educational opportunities for our residents are limitless with higher education right here in our back yard; the cultural opportunities are second to none; civic opportunities abound for those who are inclined to participate; but most of all, we are blessed with special people like you who support the business community as well as those in need.

We owe you a debt of gratitude. Thank you for your energy, enthusiasm and friendship as we work tirelessly to make this an even better place in which to live and work.
