FIVE POINTS SHOWS: Five Points Gallery, 33 Main St., Torrington, will open three concurrent shows: Heidi L. Johnson’s “/Polytechni­color,” Cheryl Agulnick Hochberg’s “The Work of Birds,” both solo shows, and “Menagerie,” a group show, all running Jan. 10-Feb. 9. DANCE FUNDRAISER: Arthur Murray Dance Studios in Danbury will host a dance fundraiser on Friday, Jan. 11, to benefit Housatonic Habitat for Humanity.The studio is offering private lessons at a discounted $85 per session to benefit Habitat. TREE FUNDRAISER: Cub Scouts Pack 1027 Winsted Christmas Tree Disposal Fundraiser continues Saturday, Jan. 12. The scounts are collecting and disposing of Christmas trees from area residents of the towns of Winchester and Colebrook. Trees will be donated to hungry goats who enjoy the piney treats.
