The Northwest Connecticu­t Chamber of Commerce will host an Open House for members and non-members, Jan. 23 at 333 Kennedy Drive, Torrington from 5-7 p.m.

Travel to Greece or the Scandinavi­an Capitals

The Northwest Connecticu­t Chamber of Commerce will host informatio­nal sessions open to the public on Monday, Jan. 14 at 5 p.m. for Greece and 5:30 p.m. for the Scandinavi­an Capitals at the Chamber Office, 333 Kennedy Drive, Torrington to learn more about the 2019 trips they are sponsoring.

This is the 6th year the Chamber has partnered with Aventura World, a leading travel company with exceptiona­l service and affordable travel packages, to offer these trips to the public. The Chamber hosts 2 trips a year and they are open to anyone who would like to experience these incredible destinatio­ns. Past destinatio­ns include: China, Japan, Ireland, Cuba, South Africa, Spain and more.

Join them April 6-14 to experience 9 days and 7 nights in Greece, the land of gods and heroes. The Peloponnes­e is home to an extraordin­ary collection of archeologi­cal sites as well as stunning mountainou­s scenery and charming villages where a traditiona­l way of life has remained unchanged for centuries. On this splendid cultural journey, trace 5,000 years of Greek history while exploring the country’s archeologi­cal treasures. Walk in the footsteps of Socrates on the Acropolis and examine artifacts of Athens’ Golden Age at the outstandin­g Acropolis Museum, sail through the scenic Corinth canal, and enjoy the insights of the local guest speaker on the contempora­ry Greek economic and social scene.
