Hospital to host heart-healthy luncheon

SHARON — In honor of American Heart Month, Sharon Hospital will offer a community Lunch-andLearn event to discuss cardiovascular health, with a focus on prevention, detection and treatment.

The no-cost, educational luncheon is from noon to 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 27, in the hospital’s Board Conference Room 2, 50 Hospital Hill Road.

Participants will enjoy a complimentary, nutritious meal while hearing from cardiologist Dr. Benjamin Schaefer of The Heart Center about risk factors, advanced treatments, blood pressure guidelines and more.

“A well-balanced diet and exercise remain key to good cardiovascular health, but advanced therapies and technologies offer patients several options to help manage their heart health,” Schaefer said.

The Heart Center, a division of Hudson Valley Cardiovascular Practice, PC, is an affiliate of Health Quest.
