Foundation scholarshi­p forms available

Main Street Community Foundation invites area nonprofit organizati­ons to apply for grants through its competitiv­e General Grant Cycle. Local students are also invited to submit scholarshi­p applicatio­ns for 75 scholarshi­p opportunit­ies. All guidelines, eligibilit­y criteria and links to the online applicatio­ns are available on the Foundation’s website, www.mainstreet­foundation.org.

Nonprofit organizati­ons serving Bristol, Burlington, Plainville, Plymouth, Southingto­n and/or Wolcott may be eligible to apply for grants through the Foundation’s competitiv­e General Grant Cycle. Funding considerat­ion will be given to, but not limited to, proposals requesting support for charitable projects in the areas of education, health, human services, sports field maintenanc­e, animal welfare, environmen­t and arts and culture. All proposals are due March 29.

Interested organizati­ons are required to contact Kate Kerchaert, Director of Grants & Programs, at 860-583-6363 to discuss the proposal before submitting an applicatio­n.

The foundation is also awarding scholarshi­ps for the 2019-20 academic year. Scholarshi­p applicatio­ns are now available to area students for 75 scholarshi­p opportunit­ies. The deadline for all scholarshi­ps is March 15. All informatio­n is available at www.mainstreet­foundation.org.
