Adults can enroll in agriscienc­e programs

The Ellis Clark Regional Agriscienc­e and Technology Program at Nonnewaug High School in Woodbury has announced the winter/ spring session of adult education classes and seminars. A variety of course offerings will be held over a period of six consecutiv­e Tuesday evenings, from 7 to 9 p.m. throughout the agriscienc­e building at Nonnewaug. The dates for this year’s courses include March 5, 12, 19, 26, and April 2 and 9.

Course titles include Beekeeping, Sausage Making, Real Estate for Buyers and Sellers, Beginner’s Welding, Design Your Dream Yard and Garden, Aquaponics, Farm Disaster Planning, Intro to Knitting, Beef Processing, Wool Processing and Spinning, Farm to Table Cooking, Backyard Goat and Sheep Care and Maintenanc­e, Animal Genetics and Breeding Applicatio­n, Soap Making, Chicken Processing, Fly Fishing, Terrarium Making, Backyard Maple Syrup Production, Using Social Media to Improve your Business, Pork Crown Roast, Intro to Composting, Estate Planning Essentials, Ukranian Egg Decorating, Estate Planning for Animals, Spring Floral Arrangemen­ts, Using Essential Oils to Help Your Pets, How to Grow Mushrooms, Vermicompo­sting, Phone Photograph­y, Lamb/Venison Processing, Backyard Chickens, Spring Planters, Opening Your Yard and Garden in Spring, Intro to Falconry, and others.

A $15 per class fee is required, designed to cover the instructor’s expenses as well as provide refreshmen­ts during the classes. Some of the courses may have additional fees to cover the supplies . Most of the classes are limited to the first 20 registrati­ons received on a first come, first served basis. A complete listing of all course dates, titles, descriptio­n, and instructor informatio­n for this year’s course offerings are all available at www.woodburyff­a.org Students must register online and pay for the courses through PayPal at www.woodburyff­a.org in order to register.
