CHICKEN BARBECUE: The Harwinton Congregational Church 57th annual chicken barbecue will be Saturday, Feb. 23 at the church at 1 Litchfield Road. The menu is a half chicken, baked potato, coleslaw, roll and dessert. LIBRARY SKATING PATRY: The Kent Memorial Library’s Parents’ Committee’s aannual Fundraiser Party will be held Feb. 24, 3-5 p.m. at the Kent School Rink, 1 Macedonia Road in Kent. Tickets are $4 for adults, $2 for children, and $10 for families. Everyone must wear a hat. Skates are no longer available to rent in Kent; skaters must make other arrangements.
