Three hurt in car crash
HARWINTON — Three Connecticut residents, including two from Harwinton, were hospitalized after a crash on Route 4 Wednesday.
A 42-year-old Harwinton woman and a 13-year-old boy were in a Nissan Pathfinder going east on Route 4 at approximately 8 a.m. Wednesday morning, according to the accident report. A 31-year-old Berlin man
was heading west in a Honda Accord, police said.
The Honda Accord reportedly crossed the yellow dividing line, traveling into the oncoming traffic lane, and struck the Pathfinder, according to the accident report.
The collision occurred approximately 200 yards west of White Oak Drive, according to the report.
The two Harwinton residents were taken to Hartford Hospital. The 42year-old victim suffered nonlifethreatening injuries and the 13-yearold was taken for evaluation only, according to the report.
The Berlin man was taken to Hartford Hospital via Life Star for serious injuries. It is unknown whether the injuries threatened his life, according to the report.
Route 4, also known as Burlington Road, was closed for about five hours while police investigated the accident.
