Patron cards thank supporters
TORRINGTON — The Northwest Connecticut Arts Council is introducing an new thank-you program for donors who support the efforts of the nonprofit organization in the region.
Donors of $250 or more will be designated as “Patrons of the Arts” and sent a card that offers special discounts to important cultural organizations such as the Warner Theatre, Norfolk Chamber Music Festival, TheatreWorks New Milford and other venues.
“The card is really a winwin for art lovers in Litchfield County,” said Steph Burr, manager of the council’s membership and outreach. “This is a way for us to show appreciation for our donors, as well as draw patronage to the wonderful cultural highlights in our region.”
“I’m so excited to see the support this new program has gotten in our area. Our goal is to bring the community closer together through the patron program by connecting arts and culture to local businesses and organizations, as well as celebrating the philanthropy of our neighbors,” said executive director Rufus de Rham. “Patronship is the crucial foundation that will allow us to grow the council in exciting new directions as we become more transparent, public and focused on the impact the arts has on the economic development and wellbeing of our region.”
