All-Star games set for next week

The 2019 Connecticu­t High School Coaches Associatio­n Senior All-Star Girls Basketball Games will be held Monday at Mercy High School in Middletown.

The Class S/M East vs. S/M West game will be played at 6 p.m., with the L/LL East vs. L/LL West to follow at approximat­ely 7:30

The S/M East roster is as follows: Mandy Beck (Old Saybrook), Samantha Chadwick (Lewis Mills), Kylee Clifton (Morgan), Kaitlin Capello (Portland), Cecilia Hunter (Windham), Caroline Hurlburt (Housatonic), Jessica King (Coginchaug), Savannah Marshall (Westbrook), Kellie Nudd (Bacon Academy), Lillian Pittman (Aerospace), Alexah Potter (Cheney Tech) and Liz Wilson (Ansonia). The coaches are Mike Nystrom (St. Bernard) and Ken Valliere (Windham).

The S/M West roster is as follows: Caitlin Barker (Plainville), Sarah Bowman (Canton), Sydnie Drezek (Seymour), Gracen Kerr (Kolbe Cathedral), Nikki Lukens (Rocky Hill), Maddee McGee (Granby), Kyah Nowlin (Trinity Catholic), Lindsay Orbann (East Hampton), Emma Propfe (Northweste­rn), Emily Renzoni (Somers) and Kelly Shpak (Oxford). The coaches are Brian Medeiros (Canton) and Allyson Smith (Rocky Hill).

The L/LL West roster is as follows: Sophia Araneo (Branford), Caroline Aufiero (Fairfield Warde), Megan Bauman (East Lyme), Nicole DaPra (Newtown), Emma Elrod (St Joes), Makenzie Helms (East Haven), Ty'Lynn Ith (Danbury), Kameryn King (Mercy), Maggie Lee (Pomperaug), Lexi Leon (Mercy), Naeva Rene (Norwalk) and Krystina Schueler (Trumbull). The coaches are Joe Fortier (Pomperaug) and Jeremy O’Connell (Newtown).

The L/LL East roster is as follows: Julianna Bonilla (Waterford), Makaela Johnson (Hamden), Jenna Joshi (Brookfield), Tara Laugeni (Amity), Kailey Lipka (Lyman Hall), Xaryia Melendez (New London), Meg Morhardt (Conard), Bridget Paulmann (Fairfield Ludlowe), Denise Sollis (Windsor), KD Spencer Roman (New London), Annie Tamallanca (Barlow) and Taniyah Thompson (Hamden). The coaches are Amanda Forcucci (Hamden) and Michelle Shoop (Amity).

BOYS ALL-STAR FESTIVAL

The 44th Annual CHSCA Boys Basketball All-Star Festival will be held Tuesday at The Morgan School in Clinton.

Teams Constituti­on and Charter Oak made up of players from Divisions III, IV and V schools will face off at 5:45 p.m. The second game, Team Mohegan vs. Team Pequot featuring players from Divisions I and II schools will tip at approximat­ely 7:15.

Team Constituti­on is as follows: Brian Berritto (Shelton), A.J. Edwards (Amistad), Luke Leonard (East Lyme), Lenny Okonya (Innovation), Dev Ostrowski (East Lyme), Steve Paolini (St. Joseph), DJ Ransom (Wilcox Tech), Luke Rwambuya (New Canaan), Jack Ryan (Stratford), Quanel Straughter (West Haven) and Nick Wright (Cromwell). The coaches are Danny Melzer (New Canaan) and Brian Gardiner (Shelton).

Team Charter Oak is as follows: Joseph Beltran (St. Bernard), Gianni Fanelli (Berlin), Colin Garrow (Ellington), Shane Henderson (Old Saybrook), Garrett Sattazahn (Wamogo), Josh Schibi (Lewis Mills), James Shelansky (Granby), Robert Simmons (Classical Magnet), Victor Smith (HMTCA) and Cyrus Sprague (Parish Hill). The coaches are John Bolduc (Parish Hill) and Robert Freitas (Ellington).

Team Mohegan is as follows: Mike Basile (Immaculate), Denali Burton (Danbury), Robert DiSibio (Newtown), Jack Greene (Holy Cross, Jaylin Hunter (East Catholic), James St. Pierre (Ridgefield), Ken Turner (Ledyard), David Walker (Brookfield), Marquan Watson (WCA) and Jalen Williams (Simsbury). The coaches are John Fleming (Brookfield) and Andrew McClellan (Ridgefield).

Team Pequot is as follows: Kyle Daniels (Wilbur Cross), Aaron Latham (Glastonbur­y), Jaylin Palmer (East Hartford), Kerwin Prince (Crosby), Connor Raines (Notre Dame-West Haven), Joey Reilly (East Catholic), Jordan Riley (Windsor), Quinton Sneed (Kolbe Cathedral), Liam Spellman (Waterford) and Timmond Williams (Trumbull). The coaches are Bill Bassett (Waterford) and Renard Sutton (Hillhouse).

Admission to the doublehead­er is $5 for adults and $3 for students and seniors.
