Wine tasting benefits LARC

TORRINGTON — Wine, artisanal spirits, and delectable culinary treats will tantalize the senses at LARC’s 12th Annual Spring Wine tasting, April 5 at Chatterley’s Banquet Hall in Torrington. In its 12th year, this is the second year the event will be held at Chatterley’s and LARC will once again partner with The Cork Fine Wine & Spirits.

The event features tastings of a wide variety of wines from international purveyors as well as some of the finest American wineries. The Wine Tasting also includes food tastings from Chatterley’s and local restaurants including Low and Slow, Edison Grill, Dos Amigos, and Applebee’s, to name a few.

This year’s presenting sponsor is TD Bank. “This is a fabulous community event, which raises money for a very important cause,” noted Jan Coyle, vice president, and field marketing manager for TD Bank. “We are pleased to support LARC and the many programs and services the organization provides to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.”

Back by popular demand, guests will have the opportunity to participate in a wine toss (if the ring lands around the neck of the bottle, the winner receives that bottle of wine), bid on silent auction items including a romantic night at a Victorian B&B, a 34-bottle wine chiller, golf outings from Mohegan Sun and Torrington Country Club, tickets to Lime Rock, and much more.

Admission tickets are $25 in advance or $30 at the door. VIP tickets are $60 and include tastings of premiere wines, scotch, and bourbon as well as Fascia’s chocolates, specialty hors-d'oeuvres, and live entertainment in the private VIP room. The doors open at 5:30 p.m. for VIP and Sponsor ticket holders and 6 p.m. for all others. The event ends at 9 pm.
