UConn announced it has agreed to a homeandhome football series with Boston College for the 2022 and 2023 seasons.

The Huskies, who will become an independent program in 2020, will host BC on Oct. 29, 2022 at Rentschler Field in East Hartford. UConn will play at BC on Oct. 28, 2023.

The teams last met in 2017, when BC beat UConn 3916 at Fenway Park.

With UConn leaving the American Athletic Conference next year, the football program will be piecing together its schedule. UConn now has three games lined up for 2022: Central Connecticut, BC, and North Carolina State. In 2023, the Huskies have games scheduled with Duke, Lafayette, North Carolina State, and BC.

UConn opens the 2019 season on Aug. 29 against Wagner at Rentschler Field.

PEART ON WATCH LIST

UConn offensive tackle Matt Peart and former UConn tight end Tyler Davis are among five players with ties to Connecticut named to the Senior Bowl watch list.

Peart has started all 36 games over the last three seasons, playing both left and right tackle for the Huskies while Davis led UConn with six touchdown receptions in 2018 before opting to play his final season as a graduate transfer at Georgia Tech.

Madison’s Jack Driscoll, an offensive tackle at Auburn who began his career at UMass, TCU offensive tackle Lucas Niang of New Canaan and Temple receiver Isaiah Wright of Waterbury were also named to the watch list.

The Senior Bowl will be played on Jan. 29 in Mobile, Ala.
