Society to hold fall fundraiser

LITCHFIELD — The Litchfield Historical Society will hold its fall fundraiser, 69 p.m., Sept. 14, to benefit the organizati­on’s education mission. The event will be held at the Tapping Reeve Meadow, behind the Tapping Reeve House & Litchfield Law School.

The evening will feature a signature drink provided by the Litchfield Distillery, live music by Django’s Reserve, and small plate offerings from The Pantry. A special silent auction will help raise money for the education programs hosted by the Historical Society including field trips from local schools, offsite programs for neighborho­od partners, community events, monthly lectures, and historic walking tours.

Featured items in this year’s auction include a Lake Tahoe Vacation rental, three fruit trees to be planted by Peter Montgomery, an exclusive midcentury themed luncheon, and more!
