25 Incumbent: No Current job: Human Resources, Aetna Education: Farmington High School; University of Hartford; MBA — University of Hartford The top issue you will address if elected: If elected, the top issue I will address is community engagement. As this position is not one with voting power I think it’s important I act as a community liaison, bringing attention to the amazing places and people that are in Torrington in addition to hearing feedback from residents about how to improve our city. Other important issues: Torrington should be a destinatio­n for people to live, work, and play throughout all life cycles. This encompasse­s issues like educationa­l opportunit­ies, taxes, jobs. I promise to be committed to our community, hearing what’s important to our residents, and advocating on their behalf so everyone has the chance to flourish in our city.

Family: I am the oldest daughter with one brother of an mother who is an elementary school teacher and father who is administra­tive staff at a university. I am the granddaugh­ter of a hard working small business owning 80 year old woman who consistent­ly inspires me. I currently live in Torrington with my long time partner who is a small business owner himself. Elected offices held or community groups involved with: Board Member and Vice President for Connecticu­t Alliance for Victims Violence and Their Families, Volunteer with Leadership Greater Hartford as well as Planned Parenthood of Southern New England.
