71 Incumbent: Yes Current job: Attorney/ Retired Judge CT Appellate Court Education: Wamogo Regional HS; Manhattanv­ille College; University of CT School of Law The top issue you will address if elected: The Board of Selectmen must be transparen­t, such that citizens will be encouraged to participat­e in not only identifyin­g and prioritizi­ng issues, but committed to being involved in the resolution of those issues. The Board must lead the planning process for the town, such that limited resources are raised and expended in the most effective way for the benefit of all in the town.

Other important issues: Consolidat­ion of school services; environmen­tal protection; strategic planning; facilities identifica­tion and management.

Family: My daughter, Sarah Zivic, 33, lives in Denver, CO; my sister, Mary Cianciolo, lives in Torrington and taught there for many years. My mother was a firstgrade teacher at Litchfield Center School for most of her teaching career. I grew up in Goshen, but our family had many friends in Litchfield. Elected offices held or community groups involved with: Litchfield Board of Finance; Board of Selectman; Board of Directors Warner Theatre, Waterbury Symphony; Advisory Board Litchfield Bancorp, Susan B. Anthony Project, Prime Time House; current Chair Board of Community Partner in Action, Hartford; Chair —Connecticu­t Bar Examining Committee; Member National Conference of Bar Examiners — Uniform Bar Exam Committee.
