Democrat City Council Torrington 54 Incumbent: No Current job: Investment Product Manager Education: Torrington High School; Connecticut College The top issue you will address if elected: Economic development has to be the top priority. The grand list has not grown for a decade and the mill rate is now in the top 10 highest of our state. To best benefit the citizens of Torrington, improving the economic climate will be the key to providing the services that translate to improved education, employment and the city's image. Other important issues: Fully utilizing the city's capabilities to put the best foot forward. Positioning city hall to organize the city's services to be responsive to prospective businesses with a can do attitude. Putting to work the city's industrial base to revive the business climate. Also advocating for a baseball team to fill the currently vacant Fuessenich Park would be an additional entertainment venue for the region.
