‘Trailer Park Christmas Musical’ and ‘Neverland Christmas’ coming

OAKVILLE — The Phoenix Stage Company is presenting two holiday shows this year. First up is “The Great American Trailer Park Christmas Musical,” running from Nov. 30Dec. 15, followed by “Neverland Christmas” with shows on Nov. 30, Dec. 7 and Dec. 14.

“The Great American Trailer Park Christmas Musical,” with music and lyrics by David Nehls and a book by Betsy Kelsowill, opens Nov. 22 and continues on Fridays and Saturdays at 8 p.m. and Sundays at 3 p.m., through Dec. 15.

It's holiday time down in Armadillo Acres (North Florida's premier mobilelivi­ng community), and everyone's filled with warmth and beer. But when a freak bout of amnesia strikes the trailer park Scrooge, neighborly love is put to the test. Be on hand as Betty, Lin, and Pickles jingle all the way with some new neighbors in an allnew, alltrailer­park musical.

Directed by Ed Bassett with stage manager Michael Calabrese and music director Sean Lewis, the cast includes Cheyenne Walent, Patty Paganucci, Emily Flynn, Martha Irving, Brian Elser and Rodney K.

“Neverland Christmas” will be staged at 1 p.m. on Nov. 30 and Dec. 7 and 14. The show has music by AJ Bunnell, Lyrics by Lori Poulin and AJ Bunnell, a book by Ed Bassett.

Christmas has never come to Neverland and Peter Pan has a plan to get Santa to visit the lost boys. The trouble is, Captain Hook will do anything in his power to stop it. This hourlong musical is perfect for the whole family with recognizab­le characters like Peter Pan, Captain Hook and his pirates, Wendy Darling, Tink, Mrs. Claus and the big man himself Santa.

Directed by Lucia Dressel with Stage Manager Michael Calabrese and Music Director John Dressel, the cast of actors include Aric M. Calabrese, Jane Coughlin, Michael Cassidy, Lori Poulin, Emily Diedrich, Hunter Diedrich, Ian Diedrich and Chuck Stango.
