Moving forward
There is no doubt we are in the midst of a crisis, professionally and personally, that we have never witnessed. It is tumultuous, demanding, and sad.
However, we cannot go negative, maintain our steady habits, or think the same old way. We must be positive, make changes, think creatively, and go forward to meet this challenge aggressively and quickly.
We are also realistic and aware of the road ahead with profound gratitude to the dedicated health care providers, who are putting themselves in harm’s way to save lives, to the first responders keeping us safe, and to so many behind the scenes displaying kindness and generosity to those in need. With a sense of optimism, we can make the necessary changes to prepare us for the future.
We have the good fortune of collaborating with Learning Dynamics, an international training company created in 1981 by President Jim DeMaio. Its goal is to provide businesses seeking the high-quality learning and development support that will supplement resources and strengthen employee and organization performance.
Please join us for the inaugural webinar on Friday, June 19 for a topic most appropriate in today’s environment: “Maintaining a Positive Outlook: Managing Stress and not Letting it Manage You.”
Wilbur Pike, Vice President of Learning Dynamics, will spend a valuable hour with us. He has more than 30 years in corporate management, training and development and is the author of numerous articles on leadership and customer service.
The webinar focuses on interactive, participatory training, delivery, and techniques. In fact, he recently was the presenter at the Leadership NW session where the group absorbed his presentation through complete involvement and asked for his return. They laughed often, while gaining valuable information on outstanding leadership. Wilbur will illustrate the link between stress and a positive outlook, planning and prioritizing to reduce and cope with stress. More information will be forthcoming. In the meantime, email me or call with any questions. We look forward to your participation.
Chuck Swindoll said that “we are all faced with a series of great opportunities brilliantly disguised as impossible situations.” We all need to keep working together at a distance to remain healthy, safe, and strong. Thank you for doing just that!
