SUPPORT GROUP: The Depression Bipolar Support Group Of NW Connecticu­t, which meets every Thursday except holidays, 6-7 p.m., has changed its meeting room at Charlotte Hungerford in Torrington. The meetings are now in the ear nose and throat practice waiting room on the first floor all the way at the end of the hall on the right. WATER MAIN FLUSHING: The Winsted Water Works will continue to flush water mains during the month of May in the following areas: Main St., South Main St., Torringfor­d St., Moore Ave., Hinsdale Ave., Elm St., Holabird Ave., Walnut St., Oak St., Gilbert Ave., Stanton Ave., Waldron St., Florence St., Wallens St., Glendale Ave., Maloney Court, Colony Drive, North Main St., and all streets north of Main Street, for routine maintenanc­e, between 8 a.m.-3 p.m. The flushing process may cause discolored water and reduction in pressure. The discolorat­ion of water will be temporary. If the condition persists, call the Water Department at 860-379-4101.

MAKE MUSIC DAY: Make Music NWCT is making its third annual return to the Northwest corner through the Northwest CT Arts Council, June 21. People of all ages and skill levels are encouraged to create music at participat­ing venues all over the region on the longest day of the year. DECORATING VETERANS GRAVES: Each year for Memorial Day the VFW Posts 296, 159, and American Legion Post 43 place flags at the graves of servicemen and women in Winsted’s cemeteries and monuments, starting at 8 a.m. May 24. Volunteers are needed. Those who are interested in volunteeri­ng can meet at East End Park at 8 a.m. Please wear a mask.

PARADE CANCELED, CEREMONY: The Harwinton Memorial Day parade and ceremony scheduled for Memorial Day has been cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The Harwinton American Legion Post 137 is intending to do a short, private tribute at the veterans war memorial on the town green.
