Sacred Heart’s Forcucci NEC’s Female Scholar-Athlete of the Year
Sacred Heart’s Adriana Forcucci was named the Northeast Conference’s Female Scholar-Athlete of the Year along with Delaney Beck of the Wagner College women’s soccer program.
Forcucci is the only athlete in the history of the Sacred Heart track and field program, male or female, to earn a perfect 4.0 GPA in eight consecutive semesters which included this past spring semester. She joins Kathleen Henry, the 2009 winner, as members of the Sacred Heart women’s track and field program to win the award.
On the track, Forccuci has served as one of the captains for the Women’s Track and Field team for the past two seasons. She holds one school record as she ran the lead-off leg of the school record 400 meter relay team in the 2017 Northeast Conference Outdoor Championships.
Forcucci ranks fourth all-time in program history in the indoor 60-meter dash holding a time of 7.80. She has been a key part three NEC Championship teams including the indoor and outdoor championship track and field teams in 2017 and a member of the outdoor track and field championship team in 2018.
YALE RECRUIT HONORED
Yale football incoming freshman Cole Hagen was one of 82 high school players named to the National Football Federation’s 2020 Team of Distinction.
Hagen threw for 7,065 yards with 80 touchdowns and 23 interceptions while running for 1,716 yards and 20 TDs to lead Corner Canyon to a 26 consecutive wins and back to back state championships.
He was a valedictorian of the senior class with a 4.0 grade-point average and was named Utah’s Gatorade State Player of the Year.
