Drive-through job fair set in Torrington

-

TORRINGTON — The Torrington office of Express Employment Professionals will be holding a Drive Through Job Fair, 11:30 a.m.-5 p.m. July 1, in the parking lot behind the Torrington Armory at 153 South Main St., Torrington.

In response to the Covid-19 pandemic and state-mandated rules limiting the size of public gatherings, Express is creating a safe environment in which job seekers can meet its recruiting and employment specialists, learn about current employment opportunities in our local communities, drop off resumes, and schedule phone interviews, all without getting out of their car and while maintaining social distancing.

“With the growing popularity of curbside pickups at stores, we thought why not adapt that model to help people looking for work,” said Jim Borghoff, owner of the Torrington Express office. “We’re excited to host this unique job fair event and look forward to making new friends and helping people find meaningful employment.”

The Torrington Express office is a locally owned franchise of Express Employment Professionals, one of the top staffing companies in the United States.

The company works with local businesses throughout Northwest Connecticut to understand their workforce needs and to provide the most qualified candidates in commercial, administrative, and professional positions for short- and longterm assignments.

As a full-service staffing provider, the company’s workforce solutions include evaluation hire, direct hire, temporary and contract staffing, professional search, and HR services. For more information, visit rb.gy/jkqhvh
