TORRINGTON — The Torrington Recreation Department annuonces the following events, programs and classes available this summer. Some are virtual; others are free, and others require a fee. For full information and registration, go to torringtonct.myrec.com/info/activities.

⏩ Junior Golf Summer Camp, August 3 - 6, 10 a.m.-noon, Fairview Farm Golf Course, Harwinton, $175 per student.

⏩ High School Golf Combine: 1-3 p.m., July 21, 23, 28, 30, Aug. 4, 6; Fairview Farm Golf Course, Harwinton, $250.

⏩ High School Tennis, Session 3: Aug. 3-Sept. 12, Pinewoods Health &Raquet Club, Torrington. Sessions and fees vary.

⏩ Quick Start Tennis, Aug. 3-Sept. 12, no class Sept. 7, Pinewoods Health & Racquet Club, Torrington. Class times vary depending on program, see individual levels for class information. Other class times are available. Call the club at 860-482-9424 for more information.

⏩ Summer Camp To Go, weekly sessions on Zoom. Pick up your activities outside the recreation department office at the Torrington Armory each week. $15 per week. Register online.

⏩ Wicked Cool For Kids Summer Camp, for kids entering grades K-5, Aug. 17-21, Vet School, 9 a.m.noon, WOW! Science, 1-4 p.m., Coe Park Civic Center. $240 per student per class or $373 for both.

⏩ ART-Ventures for Kids: Summer at Home, grades K-5. Students complete 1-2 creative art projects online and have an optional related off-line one to try per each session. ⏩ Summer Zoom Dance Classes: Presented by Miss Aly and The Next Generation of Dance. Each session is $50; 5:30 p.m., July 15-Aug. 19, for ages 4-9.

⏩ 3P Book Club: Five-week program, 10-11 a.m., starts July 17, $8. “Restart” by Gordon Korman, on Zoom with attended by Ms. Jill and Mayor Elinor Carbone. Once enrolled, you will be emailed your ZOOM login credentials. Books available for pickup, 10 a.m-8 p.m. July 15. Ends with a social distancing ice cream social that will take place on the Torrington Library front lawn, 11 a.m. Aug. 14.
