SCARECROWS IN THE MEADOW: Litchfield Historical Society presents Scarecrows in the Meadow, a socially distanced community event for families to celebrate the end of the harvest season, Oct. 17 to 31. TRUNK OR TREAT: Winsted’s Trunk or Treat Drive-Thru Edition will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. Oct. 31. Stop by the Gilbert School student lot, where cars will be decorated and candy will be handed out to everyone in their cars. Costumes are not required but suggested. Peck recently returned home from hospitalization and rehab and money is needed for his medical expenses and adapting his home for a wheelchair. CEMETERY TOUR: Due to the coronavirus pandemic, there will not be an inperson cemetery tour this year. Instead, the Gunn Historical Museum’s 13th annual Washington Cemetery Tour will be pre-recorded and posted on the museum’s website, www.gunnmuseum.org, and social media channels and will remain there for future viewing.

REGISTRATION SESSION: All Registrars of Voters offices in Connecticut will hold a statewide voter registration session for those who have turned 18, become a U.S. citizen, or moved to Connecticut since Oct. 27 of this year. The registration session is also open to members of the Armed Forces and former Armed Forces members who have been discharged within the calendar year.
