Nov. 3: Small Business Council Meeting, 8-9 a.m. on Zoom. The Small Business Council has been established for the small business owner/manager – the decision makers – to discuss challenges, share solutions and work as a back-office consortium. Many small business owners have issues that they stumble upon throughout their workday that they may not have experience with – but another small business owner does. The Chamber’s Small Business Council is a resource for the owners and managers so they can keep their businesses running smoothly. Nov. 5: Membership
Committee Meeting, 8 a.m. on Zoom. Northwest Connecticut Chamber of Commerce’s Membership Committee is a group of dedicated individuals who assist the Chamber staff throughout the year. Under the Membership Committee umbrella, there are three distinct groups: Member Ambassadors, Hospitality and Community Representatives. Nov. 6: Manufacturers' Coalition Meeting, 8 a.m. on Zoom. Guest speaker is Eileen Candels from Connecticut Center for Advanced Technology, Inc. Eileen will be sharing information about the REVUp! Connecticut Back to Work Program which was established with funding from the Governor’s Workforce Council and DECD, to help Connecticut Manufacturing employers return or hire on new talent asap, and set customized training plans to strengthen their skills in Industry 4.0 technologies, quality, and inspection. This grant program will provide both wage subsidies and the design and support of a customized training plan, by employee, and will thereby positively contribute to employee and employer growth for a stronger 2021 and beyond.
