COVID-19 — VOICES It’s time to look at Sweden again

Remember the Swedish ping pong match? First, the conservative limited government, herd immunity, folks jumped on Sweden as an example for us to follow of a country, unlike the rest of its Scandinavian neighbors and the European nations, that never shut down and had no mask mandates, quarantined the vulnerable, the old, those with respiratory problems etc, but let the rest make their own decisions and didn’t crash their economy and shut down the nation while keeping infection, hospitalization and death rates below those of their neighboring countries?

Then, in April, the Leftists, the big government people, and the mainstream media said, “Ah-ha, Yes, please do look at Sweden, they are now spiking with new cases and deaths.” Well, they aren’t anymore. They are done with it, with a present death rate near zero for the past 100 days. To use an analogy, they pulled the band-aid off quickly while those that shutdown, then opened up only to find their death rates shoot up again (because the virus didn’t go anywhere and was still there waiting for them and they’d just weakened their immunity by hiding in their homes), and so they locked down again, and round and round they go repeating the scenario of lockdowns, openings, and then new lockdowns, crashing their economy and sending depression rates, suicide rates, drug overdoses, spousal and child abuse rates, unhappy children because they can’t go to school and socialize, through the roof, their “cure” being worse than the original virus.

Denying and trying to defy herd immunity is a lot like denying and defying gravity, and the truth is coming out despite the media’s and Big Tech’s banning of the fine scientists and epidemiologists who have stated the truth on herd immunity from the beginning.
