There is no greater pleasure than to receive a thank you. It is a gift that cannot be measured, and leaves such a powerful feeling of well-being.

At this time of year, with Thanksgiving 11 days away, thank you seems most appropriate as we, first of all, acknowledge the efforts of the outstanding people who continue to work tirelessly, putting themselves in harm’s way, while dealing with the challenges of COVID-19.

Gracias to Lauren, Pam, NormaJean and Cynthia for working as a team to deliver this universal message.

We are fully aware that without the generosity and support of many business and communityminded individuals, our efforts would not bring the results necessary to beat this pandemic.

Obrigada to the Corporate Partners and Premier Members for their philanthropic boost that is helping us survive this new way of doing business in a virtual environment.

Danke to the members of the Board of Directors, the many important collaborators, and committees with dedicated volunteer that make it possible to help you with resources and contacts you need to help get through the months ahead.

Merci to the Northwest Regional Workforce Investment Board for their efforts in promoting and developing a competitive workforce that meets the current and future needs of our region.

Spacibo to the individuals and companies that are participating in a new and different manner to the United Way Campaign. They realize, perhaps more than ever before, we all must do our part to help one another especially during the holidays.

Mamnoon to all of the candidates who participated throughout this year’s election presenting their views on the critical issues facing us. We will continue our efforts to work with them so that the voice of business in NW CT is strong and recognized.

Ralph Waldo Emerson said, “The invariable mark of wisdom is to see the miraculous in the common.” Throughout the day, nothing extraordinary, just make it a habit of saying “thank you” as often as possible. A word of kindness, a happy look on the zoom calls, a note, an email, a phone call…all so common yet so powerful. Thank you.
