Susan B. Anthony Project hosts annual Adopt-a-Family

-

TORRINGTON — Susan B. Anthony Project is accepting gifts for their annual Adopt-a-Family for the Holidays gift drive.

All items will be given to SBAP community and residential clients and their families, who are receiving support related to domestic and sexual violence.

For the safety of donors, clients, and staff in light of the COVID-19 pandemic, SBAP will not be accepting physical gifts at this time, but is instead requesting monetary donations and/or gift cards, in $25 increments, which will allow moms and dads to shop personally for their families. Preferred gift card ideas include local grocery stores, restaurants, gas stations, Kohl’s, Target, Walmart, Amazon, Visa and Mastercard, according to a statement.

Residents interested in making a donation can send a check or gift card by mail to Susan B. Anthony Project, Attn: Adopt-a-Family, 179 Water Street, Torrington, CT 06790.

Gifts can also be dropped off in SBAP’s sanitized and secure outer lobby between 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. at 179 Water St. Donations can also be made online at http://sbaproject.org

All gifts be received by Friday to provide families with adequate time to shop. For more information on SBAP’s Adopt-a-Family gift drive, please e-mail Siobhain Craemer at scraemer@sbaproject.org, or call 860-489-3798.
