Let’s eliminate illegal voting

-

We live in the greatest country in the world. We have the most powerful military, we put men on the moon, we have equipment operating on Mars. We invented a vaccine in months, our technology is the best in the world and we have the best universities. I can go on and on, but I think you know what I am saying.

Why can’t we develop a computer system in every city and town in our country that will have the name of every legal voter? Before every election the town or city will send a post card to everyone listed on the computer. If you don’t receive a post card you will have to go to the city or town hall with a photo ID and have your name listed. If you want to vote early, you must go to the town or city hall with a valid ID to receive your absentee ballet and your name will be removed from the computer. When you go to your voting place to vote you must show a valid ID to be able to vote. Each voting place will have a computer that will send your name to the main computer at the town or city hall. Your name will be removed from the main computer and it will notify the polling place to issue a ballot to that person. If someone listed dies before Election Day his or her name must be removed.

This kind of system would allow people to vote early and most important, vote only once. It will eliminate most all of the illegal voting. It would be the responsibility of every legal voter to be sure their name is listed on their city or town computer. Let’s eliminate dead and illegal people voting. Bill LaVelle
