Passport to Joy available at museums, historic sites
The Connecticut Art Trail’s Passport to Joy is now available at museums and historic sites throughout the state.
Launched to coincide with the holiday gift-giving season, the Passport to Joy features special promotions and discounts, including free admissions, gifts, and valuable discounts on museum memberships, classes, and workshops. The $35 passport is valued at more than $120 in passes and special offers. Through Dec. 31, they are available at member sites for $25.
“The Passport to Joy offers a truly unique way to experience Connecticut. One day you can be taking in a vibrant downtown museum, the next you could be traveling to a farm studio on a gorgeous country road,” said Connecticut Art Trail President Carey M. Weber. “It makes a great gift. We recommend buying one for yourself and one for a friend or loved one and exploring together. It’s a creative way to travel, and also to support the organizations that keep art and history so richly alive.”
Additionally, passport holders who take advantage of all 22 discounts between Jan. 1 and Dec. 31, 2022 can enter to win a grand prize overnight stay and one-hour couple’s massage at the Delamar Hotel of their choice.
Each page of the passport is devoted to an art trail member, and includes a description of the site, its collections, and other notable facts. The passport depicts the statewide art trail map for easy reference, as well as a guide to the artistic styles and exhibits which can be found throughout Connecticut, including American and European paintings and sculpture; local history and heritage; ancient, modern, and contemporary art; and prints, drawings, and photographs.
