Vaccine clinics offered for children, adults

TORRINGTON — Community Health & Wellness Center, 469 Migeon Avenue, is offering a family COVID-19 vaccine clinic Dec. 29, 9 a.m.-3 p.m. for children age five and older. Unvaccinat­ed, partially vaccinated or those parents or guardians wishing to receive a booster may also register to be vaccinated.

CHWC is requesting preregistr­ation and appointmen­ts due to the supply of available vaccine. The center will collect insurance informatio­n although there is no cost to receive the vaccine.

A parent or guardian must accompany minors to be vaccinated. CHWC will hold a second dose clinic for those who received their first dose Dec. 29.

The clinic is open to the public, with vaccinatio­ns available while supplies last. To make an appointmen­t and pre-register, call 860-387-0801.

Salisbury vaccine clinic

SALISBURY — A COVID-19 vaccine clinic will be held from 1-5 p.m. Dec. 28 at the Salisbury Town Grove, for all residents age 12 and up.

No appointmen­ts needed. Moderna, Pfizer, and Johnson & Johnson will be available. Initial and booster vaccines are offered.

Region 1 elementary schools holding clinics

CANAAN — Each of the Region 1 elementary schools is holding pediatric vaccinatio­n clinics for children age 5 to 11 in their buildings, in partnershi­p with Griffin Healthcare.

All are open to the public and no appointmen­ts are necessary. No adult doses are available at these clinics.

A parent or guardian must accompany the child, ages 5-11, and only the pediatric Pfizer vaccinatio­n will be administer­ed.

A pediatric intake form must be completed, and may be printed and completed in advance. Forms will be available to complete at each clinic. Clinics will be held: Dec. 21, 4-7 p.m., Lee H. Kellogg school, Canaan Dec. 21, 4-7 p.m., Sharon Jan. 5, 3-6 p.m., Cornwall.
