Air Canada’s flight to Toronto will leave Bradley every day at 12:45 p.m. and land at Pearson International at 2:07 p.m. The airline’s flight from Pearson International to Connecticut will leave the Canadian airport at 11 a.m. and arrive at Bradley at 12:14 p.m.

Officials with the Connecticut Airport Authority said Wednesday that Air Canada has resumed nonstop daily service between Bradley International Airport in Windsor Locks and Toronto’s Pearson International Airport.

The first flight between the two airports in two years left shortly after noon Wednesday. Service was stopped because the pandemic, said Kevin Dillon, the executive director of the Airport Authority.

Dillon said Pearson International Airport “has been and continues to be key to our route network.”

“The airline not only facilitates seamless connectivity between our regions, but it also offers a convenient gateway to the rest of the world via its TorontoPearson hub,” he said of Air Canada.

Alisa Sisic said Air Canada’s service restoration between Toronto and Connecticut is not the first restart of international service that Bradley has seen. The airport has non-stop flights to Cancun, Mexico that were already actively operating prior to Air Canada’s return.

Bradley also had international service to Dublin, Ireland via Aer Lingus prior to the start of the pandemic. Sisic said the Irish airline “remains committed to Connecticut and Bradley International Airport but has not yet announced a specific date for resuming operations.

Lisa Pierce, Air Canada’s vice president for Canada & USA Sales, said “Connecticut is an extremely popular destination, appealing to Canadians and global customers alike who enjoy the leisure activities, recreation, arts and culture, tourism and hospitality the state is renowned for.”

The newly launched service will utilize a 50-seat CRJ200 aircraft.
