Croce “Phil” Gallina, 79, of Lansdale, PA, died on February 27, 2014 at his home, surrounded by his loving family. He was the devoted husband of Maria (Evola) Gallina.

Phil was born in Carini, Sicily on February 16, 1935 to the late Giovanni and Crocefissa (Vitale) Gallina. He was the owner of Johnnies Pizza in Lansdale, PA for 25 years. He loved gardening and spending time with his family.

Along with his wife, he is survived by his four children: Giovanni Gallina (Mary), Salvatore Gallina, Silvia Doppel (Paul), Vincenzo Gallina; three grandchild­ren: Philip, Christina, Angelina Doppel. He was predecease­d by three brothers: Giovanni, Salvatore, Vincenzo Gallina; three sisters: Vincenza Conigliaro, Rosa Gallina, Francesca Pizzo.

Relatives and friends are invited to his Funeral Mass on Thursday, March 6, 2014 at 10:30 AM at St. Catherine of Siena Church, 321 Witmer Road, Horsham, PA 19044. A viewing will be held Wednesday evening from 6:30 to 9 p.m. at the Emil J. Ciavarelli Family Funeral Home, 951 E. Butler Pike, Ambler, PA. Interment will be in St. John Neumann Cemetery, Chalfont.

E. “MARIE” GAYDOS

E. “Marie” Gaydos passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on February 27, 2014 at age 73. Born in Norristown, she was the daughter of the late Hazel (Hunsberger) and George Lauman.

Marie said, “The best day of her life was June 14, 1969” when she married Edward M. Gaydos. They resided in Worcester and were happily married 44 years.

Marie is survived by her brother Fred Lauman (Andi) and her sisters Kathy Jones (Roger), Sarah Hershberge­r (Dave) and Judy Shaffer (Rich) and her sister-in-law Mary Ann Quill. She was a wonderful aunt to many nieces and nephews.

Marie, a kind and compassion­ate woman, was a medical secretary for Montgomery Surgical Assoc., later Associated Surgeons. She retired after 42 years and enjoyed many interests: arranging flowers, crafts, crocheting and the beach.

Germantown Pike on Wednesday, March 5, 2014 from 6-8 PM, and again Thursday, March 6th at Visitation BVM Church, 196 N. Trooper Rd., Norristown, PA 19403 from 9-9:45 AM followed by her Funeral Mass at 10 AM. Interment will be at Lower Skippack Mennonite Church Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Marie’s memory to the American Cancer Society, 1626 Locust St., Phila., PA19103. Mass Cards would also be appreciate­d.
