Richard L. Wilhelmy of Lansdale

Richard L. Wilhelmy, 85, of Lansdale, passed away Saturday, April 23, 2016. He was the loving husband of Helen (Human) Wilhelmy.

Born October 3, 1930 in Ogdensburg, NY, he was the son of the late Leo and Mary (Holmes) Wilhelmy.

Mr. Wilhelmy worked in Corporate Finance for Teleflex, Inc. and was Treasurer of Teleflex Federal Credit Union, retiring in 1993.

He was an Army veteran of the Korean War having received the Army Commendation ribbon.

Richard was committed to the community, sponsoring Junior Achievement and coaching Lansdale Little League. He was an avid pinochle player and enjoyed traveling.

Richard was a member of Church of Messiah, Lower Gwynedd.

Other survivors include two sons, Richard B. Wilhelmy (Deborah), of Greensburg, and S. Craig Wilhelmy (Barbara), of Gilbertsville; and five grandchildren, Jacqueline, Bryant, Katherine, Jessica, and Blake.

There will be a viewing and a time to greet the family starting 9:30 a.m. Thursday, April 28, 2016, at

Church of Messiah, 1001 DeKalb Pike, Lower Gwynedd, PA 19002, with the funeral at 10:30 a.m.

Interment will follow in Whitemarsh Memorial Park.
