KANSAS CITY, MO. >> Saint Joseph’s forward Brendan Casper has been named to the 2015-16 NABC Honors Court by the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC), which recognizes men’s basketball student-athletes who excelled in academics during the past season.

In order to be named to the Honors Court, a student-athlete must be a junior or senior and own a cumulative grade-point average of 3.2 or higher.

Casper, a rising senior, saw action in 11 games this past season for the 2016 Atlantic 10 Champion team. One of six players to be a member of the Hawks’ two A-10 champion teams in the past three years, Casper joined the squad as a walk-on in 2013-14. He was rewarded for his efforts and dedication as he was granted a scholarship for the Spring 2016 semester.

The 6-6 forward from Audubon, Pa. (Methacton H.S.) received the Hawks’ Most Improved Player Award in 2014-15.

He was also named to the SJU Athletic Director’s Honor Roll and the A-10 Commissioner’s Honor Roll in 2015-16.

The NABC Honors Court recognizes the talents and gifts that they possess off the court and the hard work they exhibit in the classroom. @NABC1927 invites you to share the success of these student-athletes using #HonorsCourt.
