Owen V. Davis of Salfordville.

Owen V. “Skip” Davis, age 82, of Salfordville, passed away on Monday, July 25, 2016. He was the beloved husband of Jane W. Davis, with whom he shared over 23 years of marriage.

Born October 20, 1933, he was a son of the late Owen N. Davis and Anna M. (Johnson) Davis.

Owen was a graduate of Conshohocken High School and was employed by Greene Tweed & Co. in Towamencin until his retirement. He attended Tabor United Methodist Church in Harleysville for many years. Owen was a firefighter for more than 60 years, his last affiliation being with the Upper Salford Volunteer Fire Company.

In addition to his wife, Owen is survived by his children Owen and Mark Davis and Laura (Davis) Gilson; grandchildren Justin, Katlyn, William, Clarissa, Jeffrey, Corey; and step-grandchildren Sabrina and Amber. He was preceded in death by his son John E. Davis and brother James Davis.

Family and friends are invited to attend his funeral service at 11 AM on Friday, July 29, at Tabor United Methodist Church, 2209 Hendricks Station Road, Harleysville, PA 19438, where the family will receive guests from 9:00 – 11:00 AM. Interment will take place in Calvary Cemetery, Conshohocken. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Owen’s name may be made to the Upper Salford Volunteer Fire Company, P.O.
