TREDYFFRIN >> A two-car crash left one person dead early Sunday morning on Route 202 northbound, according to police.

Shortly before 3 a.m. at the Paoli exit, a 2008 Ford Fusion reportedly hit a road barrier then stopped in the middle of the three-lane highway.

At that point, police described the Ford Fusion as “disabled partially.”

Shortly after the Ford Fusion stopped, a 2007 Chevrolet Impala crashed into the Ford Fusion, killing the Ford Fusion’s driver, police said.

Qwan K. Lewis, 24, of Hatfield, was identified by police as the driver of the Ford Fusion. Police did not identify the driver of the Chevrolet Impala, but said the driver received treatment for minor injuries. Each car had one occupant, police said. Police said traffic on Route 202 was detoured for roughly five hours, and the Chester County coroner and the Berwyn Fire Company investigated the incident.

Police ask anyone with information about the crash to call Tredyffrin police at 610-644-3221.
