Towamencin woman arrested for alleged domestic assault
Bridget Zarzoso, 38, faces a pair of criminal counts for alleged early morning incident
TOWAMENCIN >> A 38-yearold Towamencin woman was arrested early Monday morning for allegedly assaulting her husband during a domestic disturbance, according to police.
Bridget Zarzoso, of the 400 block of Churchill Court, was taken into custody around 2:30 a.m. and arraigned later Monday morning in Lansdale district court on one count each of second-degree misdemeanor simple assault and summary harassment.
Towamencin police said in charging documents that cops responded to Zarzoso’s residence for a report of a woman throwing household items at a man inside the residence and, upon arrival, encountered Zarzoso’s husband standing outside shirtless with fresh scratches on his chest.
Inside, officers found several broken picture frames in the dining room and glass all over the floor, and other unspecified items in the kitchen and living room that appeared to have been thrown around, according to an affidavit of probable cause.
Zarzoso’s husband told police that he and his wife had been discussing various family issues when Zarzoso began screaming and cursing at him, then started throwing a variety of items at him, and when he went to restrain her to stop her from throwing anything else, she scratched up his chest and then fled to the second floor of the home, the affidavit indicates.
Zarzoso was released from custody after her bail was set at $500 unsecured.
A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Sept. 2.
