Local student receives McDonald’s scholarshi­p at surprise event

Henry Hoffman, a recent graduate of Upper Dublin High School, received a $5,000 scholarshi­p from the Ronald McDonald House Charities. He will attend the University of Pennsylvan­ia in the fall. The McDonald’s in Dresher hosted a recognitio­n event for Hoffman who plans to attend the University of Pennsylvan­ia and major in history.

Every year the Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Philadelph­ia Region offers college scholarshi­ps to high school seniors who demonstrat­e academic achievemen­t, leadership and community involvemen­t, and who plan on attending a two or four-year college during the next academic year.
