Local student receives McDonald’s scholarship at surprise event

Henry Hoffman, a recent graduate of Upper Dublin High School, received a $5,000 scholarship from the Ronald McDonald House Charities. He will attend the University of Pennsylvania in the fall. The McDonald’s in Dresher hosted a recognition event for Hoffman who plans to attend the University of Pennsylvania and major in history.

Every year the Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Philadelphia Region offers college scholarships to high school seniors who demonstrate academic achievement, leadership and community involvement, and who plan on attending a two or four-year college during the next academic year.
