Wilbur Dawson Huckel, formerly of Lansdale

Wilbur Dawson Huckel died on Wednesday, Oct. 12, 2016, at The Grandview Health Systems in Sellersvil­le, PA. He was 86 years of age.

Born in Atlantic City, New Jersey, he was the son of the late Wilbur Fiske Dawson Huckel and Alma Sabath.

Wilbur was formerly of Lansdale, PA. He also resided in Chalfont, PA, and prior to his death, he resided in Wauchula, Florida.

Wilbur and Nancy loved to travel extensivel­y by way of their RV. They traveled throughout the U.S., including destinatio­ns such as Alaska and Canada.

He was the beloved Husband of Nancy Huckel for more than 61 years and the devoted father of Ronald Huckel, Lansdale, PA, and the grandfathe­r of Matthew Huckel, Lansdale, PA. Wilbur is also survived by his brother, Bob Huckel, of Florida.

Service and interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be to the American Cancer Society.

Mary A. Motsavage of Lansdale

Mary A. Motsavage, 83, of Lansdale, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, Oct. 18, 2016, after a long battle with Parkinson’s disease.

She was the beloved wife of the late Vincent A. Motsavage, who died in 1998.

Born in Scranton, she was a daughter of the late Alexander and Mary Kozak.

Mary received her Bachelor of Science degree in biology from Wilkes University then began a career in the pharmaceut­ical industry.

After raising her family, she was employed with Gwynedd Mercy University, where she enjoyed working with students in the Biology Department.

In her early years, she was an avid runner and enjoyed yoga, gardening, and oil painting. She enjoyed dancing the Polka and taking vacations to Europe with her late husband. She especially cherished the time spent with her children, grandchild­ren and great-grandchild­ren.

Surviving Mary are her children, Susan Martin, of Perkasie; Christina Motsavage (David Rieman); Judy Motsavage (Dave Dolly), of Fort Myers, FL; Pat Towns (David), of Cary, NC; Bill Motsavage (Eleanore), of Germansvil­le, PA; 14 grandchild­ren; 6 great-grandchild­ren; her sister, Anne Schank (Tony), of Bethlehem; her sister-in-law, Karen Motsavage, of Collegevil­le; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her infant daughter, Andrea, in 1965.

Relatives and friends will be received by her family after 9:30 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 22, in the Chapel at Dock Woods Community, 275 Dock Drive, Lansdale, and are invited to attend her funeral service at 10:30 a.m. Inurnment will follow in St. John Neumann Cemetery, Chalfont.

In lieu of flowers, contributi­ons in memory of Mary may be made to the Parkinson’s Disease Foundation, 1359 Broadway, Suite 1509, New York, NY 10018, or to the Habitat for Humanity of Montgomery County, 533 Foundry Road, West Norriton, PA 19403.
