Ernest N. Landis of Souderton.

Ernest N. Landis, 86 of Souderton, died on Monday, Oct. 17, 2016, at Life Quest Nursing Center, Quakertown, where he was a resident.

He was the husband of Beryl (Potser) Landis, with whom he shared 68 years of marriage.

Born Dec. 23, 1929, in Elroy, he was a son of the late Jacob and Lillie (Nyce) Landis.

Ernest worked for Alderfer Bologna in Harleysville.

He enjoyed music, his favorite being country music.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Sandra D. Landis, and her husband, Harold, of Milford Square; two grandchildren, Philip S. Landis of Gilbertsville and Jennifer Landis of Warrington; two great-grandchildren, Bradley C. Landis and Ashley S. Landis; a sister, Esther Ruth and her husband, Leonard, of Harleysville; and two brothers, Richard Landis and his wife, Evelyn, of Williamsport, and Jacob Landis and his wife, Lois, of Souderton.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Dorothy Halteman.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 28, at the Williams-Bergey-Koffel Funeral Home Inc., 667 Harleysville Pike, Telford, where the family will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m. Interment will be in Whitemarsh Memorial Park.
