Henesey, LC roll past O’Hara in PCL quarters

Kate Henesey set a school record for career goals as she scored four times in the Lansdale Catholic girls soccer team’s 4-0 victory over Cardinal O’Hara in the Philadelphia Catholic League quarterfinals Thursday afternoon.
Henesey, a junior, is now at 68 career goals for the Crusaders (16-2-1), who face Archbishop Ryan in the PCL semis 5 p.m. Tuesday at the United German Hungarians Club.

Girls Cross Country
DOCK DEFENDS BAL TITLE >> Dock Mennonite’s Lindsey Bernd took fifth place in a time of 22:10 as the Pioneers took first at the Bicentennial Athletic League Championships for the second straights season Wednesday at Tyler State Park.
Lael Flores (22:36) and Camryn McCloskey (22:50) came in ninth and 10th, respectively for Dock, which finished with 50 points, four better that second place New HopeSolebury.
Lower Moreland’s Kerry Kovacs took first in 20:39.
Boys Cross Country
DOCK 2ND IN CONSTITUTION AT BAL CHAMPIONSHIPS >> Tim Kennel paced Dock Mennonite by taking third in 17:09 as the Pioneers earned second in the Constitution Division at the BAL Championships Thursday at Tyler State Park.
Dock had 133 points while division-winner Jenkintown finished with 53 points. Jack Miller came in second (17:06) to lead the Drakes .
Girls Volleyball
PW 3, HATBORO-HORSHAM 2 >> Plymouth Whitemarsh rallied from two sets down to take Wednesday’s SOL American match, staying alive with a 29-27 win in the third set.
Danielle Rippert had 18 kills and 23 digs for PW while Olivia Cardo finished with 20 digs and 19 assists.
