No. 8 Souderton will host No. 12 Upper Dublin Wednesday at 7 p.m. in the Class-6A playback bracket.

The winner clinches a spot in the state tournament and the loser will need to win its next game to extend its season.

Souderton lost to Abington in the second round and Upper Dublin was eliminated by CB West.

Upper Dublin may try to keep it a low scoring game. Head coach Morgan Funsten always has the Cardinals playing tough defense and forcing turnovers.

Other girls 6A games are: CB WEST VS. ABINGTON >> No. 5 CB West will face No. 9 Abington Wednesday at Bensalem High School at 7:30 p.m. in the Class-6A semifinals.

The winner will face the winner of Plymouth Whitemarsh and CB South in the final Saturday at Villanova at 6 p.m.

West is coming off a dominant 61-31 win over Garnet Valley. Abington knocked off top-seeded North Penn, 51-44.

The player to watch in this one is West freshman Maddie Burke. Burke has a complete skill-set to go along with her 6-foot frame. PLYMOUTH WHITEMARSH VS. CB SOUTH >> No. 3 Plymouth Whitemarsh will face No. 7 CB South in the Class-6A semifinals Wednesday at Bensalem High School at 6 p.m.

PW got here by beating Council Rock North, 56-48. South knocked off Boyertown, 35-32, in the quarters.

Junior Taylor O’Brien leads the Colonials. She scored 25 points and helped the team overcome a fourth quarter deficit in the quarterfinals.

The winner will face the winner of CB West and Abington in the championship game Saturday at Villanova at 6 p.m. NORTH PENN VS. GARNET VALLEY >> No. 1 North Penn will host No. 4 Garnet Valley in the Class-6A playback bracket Wednesday at 7 p.m.

Both teams have already clinched state playoff berths and are competing for the fifth seed in District 1.

North Penn’s senior trio of Irisa Ye, Jess Huber and Sam Carangi will look to get the Knights back on track after a 51-44 loss to Abington in the district quarterfinals. Class-1A

FAITH CHRISTIAN SANKOFA FREEDOM >> No. 4 Faith Christian will face No. 1 Sankofa Freedom in the 1A semifinals Tuesday at the School of the Future at 5 p.m.

Faith Christian topped Parkway NW in the first round, 47-34. Sankofa Freedom is coming off a bye.

The winner of this game secures a state playoff berth and the loser will need to win its next game to earn a berth.

The winner will face the winner of No. 2 Christian Academy and No. 3 Jenkintown in the championship Saturday at a site and time to be determined.

Boys Basketball

WISSAHICKON VS. SPRINGFIELD (DELCO) >> No. 11 seed Wissahickon travels No. 10 seed Springfield (Delco) Wednesday night at 7 p.m. in the Class-5A playback bracket.

The winner will clinch a state playoff berth and the loser will need to win its next game to keep its season alive.

The Trojans were knocked out of district title contention by Penncrest, 60-56, in the quarterfinals. Springfield lost to Great Valley, 41-38.

Max Rapoport, Shane Ford and Zach Reinert lead the Wissahickon offense and will try to figure out Springfield’s defense that held opponents to 41.5 points in the first two round of the postseason. Class-6A

DPLYMOUTH WHITEMARSH VS. ABINGTON >> No. 2 seed Plymouth Whitemarsh faces No. 3 Abington in the Class6A semifinals at 6 p.m. Tuesday night at the Liacouras Center in Philadelphia.

The Colonials are 11-1 in their last 12 District 1 playoff games. The lone loss came in the 2015 title game — at Temple University — against Abington.

The teams met again two weeks ago and — again — the Ghosts came away victorious in the Suburban One League Tournament championship game.

The top matchups in this game will be at guard and center.

A pair of juniors will have the ball in their hands for a lot of the game — Abington’s Robbie Heath and PW’s Ahmad Williams. They each have the ability to score with jump shots or by driving to the basket. Heath scored 30 points when the teams played earlier this season and Williams had 14.

In the middle, it will be two sophomores going at it. Abington’s Eric Dixon stands at 6-foot-8 and PW’s Naheem McLeod is 7-foot. Dixon had 18 in the first meeting and McLeod 17.

The winner will face the winner of No. 8 Cheltenham and No. 4 Coatesville in the championship Saturday at 8 p.m. at Villanova. PERK VALLEY VS. NORTH PENN >> No. 1 Perk Valley will host No. 5 North Penn in the Class-6A playback bracket Tuesday night at 7 p.m.

Both teams have already qualified for the state tournament and are playing for seeding.

Senior guard Justin Jaworski leads the Pioneer Athletic Conference champion Vikings. He has scored 30 or more points in three of PV’s last four games.

It will likely be a team effort for the Knights to keep pace. Reece Udinski, Ricky Johns and AJ Mitchell each scored in double figures against Coatesville. Class-2A Dock vs. Church Farm

No. 2 Dock Mennonite will face No. 1 Church Farm in the Class-2A championship game Saturday at Council Rock South at a time still to be determined.

Dock advanced to the final after beating No. 3 Delco Christian, 59-58. Church Farm beat No. 4 Bristol, 7147.

The teams played earlier this season on Jan. 13. Dock lost, on the road, 50-32.

The Pioneers head into the final with spirits sky high. They won their semifinal game on a Miz Nyagwegwe runner in the final seconds. Nyagwegwe, Deins Bergis and Jackson Scialanca each scored in double figures in the semifinals — combining for 52 of the team’s 59 points. Class-1A

FAITH CHRISTIAN VS. PLUMSTEAD CHRISTIAN >> No. 1 seed Faith Christian will face No. 4 seed Plumstead Christian at Quakertown Tuesday night at 7 p.m. in the Class1A semifinals.

The winner will face the winner of No. 2 Jenkintown and No. 3 Girard College in the championship Saturday at Council Rock South at a time still to be determined.

Faith Christian dominated the Bicentennial Athletic League Constitution this season. They went 16-1 in league play and swept two meetings with Plumstead Christian. They won the first game, 65-47, and the second, 49-47.
