Sandra J. Stout of Hatfield.

Sandra Jean Stout, 69, of Hatfield, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, Feb. 23, 2017.

She was the beloved wife of Eric Stout.

Born in Lansdale, she was a daughter of the late Violet (Wentling) and Philip Crouse Jr.

Sandy was employed with Merck for many years. Outside of work, she enjoyed dancing and embraced family gatherings — hosting many picnics and holiday meals. She cherished the time spent with her children and grandchildren, and she was a passionate supporter at many sporting events. She will be remembered for her excellent cooking and her constant desire to place the needs of others before her own.

Surviving Sandy, in addition to her husband, Eric, are her children, Rich Knappenberger, of Souderton; Nichole Stewart (Paul), of Harleysville; Peter Joseph Stout (Cheryl), of Lansdale; her grandchildren, Ashley, Zachary, Erica, Maxwell, Justin, William, and Ava; her great grandson Mason; her sister, Rita Groff; and her brothers, Phil Crouse (Lorraine); Terry Crouse (Patricia), Jeff Crouse (Denise); and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Sandy was preceded in death by her grandson, Jaden; her sisters, Phyllis Devericks, Janet Sherman and Pauline Crouse; and her brother, Jerry Crouse.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a viewing after 10 a.m. Thursday, March 2, in the Huff & Lakjer Funeral Home, 701 Derstine Ave., Lansdale, where her funeral service will begin at 11 a.m. Interment will be held in St. Mark’s Lutheran Cemetery, Pennsburg.
