Five Knights earn AllSOL Continenta­l honors

Suburban One League Continenta­l champ North Penn led all teams with five players earning all-conference honors with Knights senior David Giuliani selected to first team.

Souderton senior Mike Bealer, Pennridge sophomore Sean Yoder, Central Bucks West senior Collin MacAdams and Central Bucks East senior Matty Pat- tyson were also named to the Continenta­l’s first team.

Joining Giuliani for North Penn were second team picks seniors Reece Udin- ski and Ricky Johns, senior Chris Coleman (third team) and Lance Ford (honorble mention).

The Knights are the SOL Continenta­l’s lone team to qualify for the PIAA postseason and face Reading in the Class 6A first round 4 p.m. Saturday at Kutztown University’s Keystone Arena.

For CB West, junior Jake Reichwein was named to the second team with senior Liam Cooney and junior Shane McCusker thirdteam selections.

Pennridge sophomore Jonathan Post was a second-team pick with Rams senior Sean Yoder an honorable mention.

Souderton senior Matt Cartwright made honorable mention.

Girls Basketball

NP’S HUBER, YE NAMED ALLSOL CONTINENTA­L 1ST TEAM

Souderton junior Kate Connolly, Central Bucks West senior Maggie Rakowsky and Central Bucks South sophomore Alexa Brodie joined Huber and Ye on the first team.

Also named to all-conference teams for North Penn were senior Sam Carangi (second team) and junior Bri Hewlett (third team). Souderton had four players selected as well. Along with Connolly, Indians’ junior Tori Dowd and Alana Cardona made the third team while sophomore Megan Walbrant was an honorable mention.

In addition to Rakosky, CB West’s had freshman Maddie Burke make the second team and sophomore Tori Abelson picked to the third team.

Pennridge’s Gill Anderson earned honorable mention as the Rams were selected for the Sportsmans­hip Award.

The SOL Continenta­l had five of its seven teams — North Penn, Souderton, CB West, CB South, Central Bucks East — qualify for the PIAA Class 6A tournament, which begins Friday.
