Lifelong learning

Congregati­on Beth Or: “Developing a Spiritual Practice through Psalms with Rabbi Marx” is held at 7 p.m. March 14, 21 and 28 at Beth Or, 239 Welsh Road, Upper Dublin. Mussar practition­ers use Middot, chevruta work, journaling and text study to engage in a journey of spiritual developmen­t. Mussar acts as a mirror, allowing practition­ers to see their reflection­s more clearly and to use that knowledge to make informed choices about how they want to interact with others and the world. Youth Sunday

St. John’s United Church of Christ: Youth Sunday is celebrated at the 8 and 10:15 a.m. services on Sunday. This year’s theme is “Take a Leap of Faith.” The junior/senior high classes will prepare and give the sermon titled “Our Thoughts on Faith, Your Thoughts on Faith.” They will participat­e in all phases of both services, including writing the prayers and delivering the lessons and sermon. Special music will feature the ensemble United Voices, who will sing “Deep Within Our Hearts,” the Children’s Choir who will perform a selection, and the Chancel Choir who will sing “For God So Loved the World.” The Girls Scouts and Brownie troops who meet weekly at the church will serve as greeters at the 10:15 a.m. service. Celebrate Purim

Congregati­on Beth Or: A Purim Shpiel, Megillah Reading and “Party of the Decade” happens tonight. At 6:30 p.m. is the Shpiel, performed by the Junior Choir, and Megillah Reading. Then from 7:30 to 10 p.m. it’s a throwback ‘80s party for adults with live music, Pacman, food, drinks and more. Eighties attire is encouraged. This event is free for members. Central Schwenkfel­der Church: The church at 2111 S. Valley Forge Road, Worcester, holds a pork supper at 5 p.m. today in the Fellowship Hall. The supper will consist of pork and sauerkraut with side dishes, pies, cakes, cheesecake and ice cream. Tickets are $15, $8 for children 4-12.
