UD can’t comeback against WC East

Jackie Rama paced Upper Dublin with three goals as the Cardinals could not rally from a four-gola deficit against West Chester East Thursday.

West Chest East topped Upper Dublin, 10-8, Thursday afternoon at West Chester East High School.

The Cardinals scored six second-half goals, but couldn’t overcome a fourgoal halftime deficit.

Jackie Rama had three goals an and assist for Upper Dublin and Mack Moore had two goals and an assist. West Chester East 10, Upper Dublin 8

UPPER MERION 13, UPPER PERKIOMEN 7 >> Molly Weygand scored four goals to lift Upper Merion over Upper Perkiomen, 13-7, Thursday.

Vikings’ Quinn O’Malley added three goals and an assist and Riley O’Malley had two goals and two assists.

Katie Frey made nine saves for Upper Merion.

BISHOP SHANA HAN 9, A BIN GTON 2>> The Ghosts got 12 saves from Kiki Brasher in the non-league loss on Wednesday. The Trojans were unable to control draws, dropped balls and turned the ball over in defeat.

Carolyn Wilde and Emily Vervlied each scored two goals for Wissahicko­n. Kyra Meyers made eight saves.

METHACTON 6, POPE JOHN PAUL II 5 >> Methacton won its Pioneer Athletic Conference opener, 6-5, over Pope John Paul II in double overtime Thursday afternoon.

Perk Valley opened its Pioneer Athletic Conference season with a 16-0 win over Pottsgrove Thursday afternoon.

The Vikings jumped out to a 7-0 lead in the first quarter and cruised from there, adding two goals in the second, four in the third and three in the fourth.

HILL 5, GERMAN TOWN ACADEMY 2>> Germantown Academy loss to the Hill School, 5-2, Thursday afternoon.

Germantown Academy’s two wins came in singles matches. Edik Pribitkin won the first singles match, 6-0, 6-1, and Alex Yan won the second singles, 7-5, 5-2.

The Hatters scored three runs in the top of the fourth inning to take a commanding 5-0 lead.

Brian Edgington threw a complete game five-hitter for Hatboro. He struck out 10 batters and didn’t walk any.

Ethan Hellberg and Coy Walters each knocked in two runs for the Rams.

SPRING-FORD 14, METHACTON 1(5) >> Conor Larkin had a dominant performanc­e on the mound and Ethan Hellberg and Jake Kelchner each belted homers for the Rams in the PAC victory on Wednesday.

DOCK 14, LOWER MORE LAND 2 >> Dock Mennonite scored 14 straight runs to top Lower Moreland, 14-2, Thursday.

The Pioneers scored three runs without a hit in the first inning and 11 runs on nine hits in the fourth. They sent 16 batters to the plate in the fourth inning.

Amanda Butera, Grace Harvey and Maria Cotellese each knocked in two runs for PJP.

Panthers pitcher Faith Heyser allowed just three hits over three shutout innings.

Boys Volleyball

DOCK 3, WILLIAM TENNENT 1 >> Dock Mennonite won its home opener Wednesday, 3-1, against William Tennent.

After Tennent took the first set, the schools were tied at nine in the second. Dock pulled away from that point for a 25-14 win to tie the match, 1-1.

The third set was a tight one with the schools tied, 24-24. Dock’s Lincoln Bergey had a kill to make it 2524 and Tennent couldn’t return a dig by Jeremy Yoder to end it and give the Pioneers a 2-1 lead.

Dock closed out the win with a 25-22 win in the fourth set. Dock 3, William Tennent 1
