Bruce T. Dawson, 64, of North Wales, passed away April 5, 2017.

He was the loving husband of 38 years to Donna (nee Cash) Dawson.

Born Oct. 15, 1952, in Philadelph­ia and raised in Ambler, he was the son of the late C. Robert and Bernice (Timblin) Dawson.

Mr. Dawson was a graduate of Upper Dublin High School, Class of 1970, and Pennsylvan­ia State University, Class of 1974, with dual degrees in pre-law studies and education.

After briefly teaching at Wissahicko­n High School and the Montgomery County IU, he became the successful owner and operator of Dawson’s Carpet & Upholstery Cleaning for 23 years.

An avid history buff, Mr. Dawson traveled extensivel­y throughout the United States and Europe. He was a passionate rock ’n’ roll fan, Bruce loved attending concerts, even attending a Beach Boys concert the Saturday night before he passed.

Along with his wife, additional survivors include a daughter, Shannon Dawson and fiancee, Jared Post, Philadelph­ia; brother, Keith Dawson, Philadelph­ia; and nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Julie Ann Dawson (1998), and his stepmother, Doris (Roth) Dawson.

There will be a viewing from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, April 10, at Huff & Lakjer Funeral Home, 701 Derstine Ave., Lansdale.

A second viewing will start 10 a.m. Tuesday, April 11, at the funeral home, with funeral services at 11 a.m. Interment is to follow in Whitemarsh Memorial Park.
